September 14 Hindi Diwas On this day in 1949, Hindi was given the status of being one of the official languages of India along with some others. 
September 15 National Engineers’ Day It marks the birth anniversary of Civil Engineer extraordinaire, Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The day is also dedicated to all engineers and the contribution they make to our society. 
September 15 International Day of Democracy This day honours the importance of the values of liberty, freedom and democracy, it also urges us to focus on the state of democracy in the present world. 
September 16 World Ozone Day This day talks about the depletion of the Ozone layer and how it is adversely affecting our climate. The day also invites dialogue on what we can do to prevent it from depleting further.

September 23 International Day of Sign Languages This UN-mandated observance raises awareness about sign language and the importance for all people to learn the same. It also protects the linguistic identity of those whose hearing has been challenged. 
September 25 Antyodaya Diwas Marks the birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyay. 
September 26 World Contraception Day To raise awareness about the use of contraception and family planning. This day also creates dialogue for people to take care of their sexual and reproductive health. 
September 26 World Environmental Health Day  To raise awareness about the health of our environment and how it affects the human race at large. 
September 27 World Tourism Day This day highlights the socio-cultural and economic importance of the tourism industry. Moreover, it is dedicated to making tourism and traveling as safe as possible for all people. 
September 28 World Rabies Day To create awareness about this disease and how to earn protection against it.
September 29 World Heart Day This day is dedicated to fostering awareness about maintaining the health of the heart. Moreover, it talks about diseases like strokes and heart attacks and what we can do to prevent the same. 
September 30 World Translation Day Honours the work done by translators to keep the international community running smoothly.
